At Sonic Speed: Part II

With the release Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic Team had created a lasting quality series on the Genesis. And with Sonic CD, it seemed that Sonic would continue his success through the upcoming consoles.

However, with the release of Sonic 3D Blast in 1996 (To combat the release of Super Mario 64 and Crash Bandicoot), Sonic officially entered the 3D world. Right away the title was criticized for it’s wonky controls, repetitive gameplay, and a lack of the classic Sonic Speed.
